Hosting and server logs

The website consists of static pages and is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner. When you open a page, the server processes technically necessary data: your IP address, date and time, the page requested, your browser type and the page you came from. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The data is kept only as long as necessary and is not combined with other data.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in running the site securely and reliably).

Cookies and tracking

No cookies are set, and no analytics, advertising or tracking services are used. Fonts are served from this website itself, not from external servers. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Contact by email

If you write to me, I process your email address, your name (if you give it) and the content of your message in order to reply and prepare a possible project. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR when it concerns a project or contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I delete messages once the enquiry is settled and no legal retention duty applies. Your data is not passed on to third parties.

External links and RSS

This website links to other sites, for example LinkedIn. Once you click such a link, that provider’s privacy policy applies. No data is sent to these providers before that. The RSS feed is served from this website itself.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). Just send me an email.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. For Berlin that is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
